Do I have to notify someone that I'm studying abroad?
The moment you are officially committed to a study abroad program or dialogue, please fill out an SFS Inquiry Form notifying them that you're studying abroad. This ensures that you receive your reimbursements as early as possible prior to leaving the country.

After contacting SFS, please email Keyla, Jen and Jackson and let them that you are studying abroad by including the term you're studying abroad, the program name and country location.
Please ensure that you're selecting "Financial Aid" and "Named Scholarship" when filling out the form. You can access the form here.

When can I study abroad?
We encourage students to study abroad beginning their sophomore year (the summer after their first Spring semester). The first year at Northeastern will be a time to acclimate to your new routine as a college student. Because of this, we would prefer you focus your time and energy on studying and getting used to your new social and academic environment.
